A Word from the Sunday School Director

As most all of you know Pastor John stepped down effective January 1, 2018. What a great man with a mission filled heart we were blessed with to lead and pastor us. He and Shirley will be deeply missed. May God Bless them both on their new journey and path that God has set out for them both.

Our Children’s Church led by Ms. Cindy Ochsner has gotten off to a great start, the kids have loved learning and experiencing the joy of the Lord with interactive activities and bible based video presentations. Way to Go Cindy, we are so proud of you, and the kids are looking forward to the future!

It gives me great joy to tell you that our new Pre-K Sunday School class, led by Mrs. Brandi Quinn has also been a success. Congrats Brandi and Vincent who are expecting a little one in 2018!!!!!!

Due to Ms. Shirley stepping down as Sunday School teacher for our elementary age students we are needing teachers for our elementary age students. If you are led to serve here please contact Oscar at 214-537-3812.

Our Married Adults class will continue their Exploring the Bible study. This quarter’s study is Acts 13–28. The new format of the study now allowing the opportunity to keep everyone in the Word daily. If you’re in the class, please make sure you’re included on our Men’s and Women’s Facebook discussion pages, where we share how God speaks to us through our study together. Contact Wendell or April to be added to the pages.

Our Men’s and Women’s Adult classes are continuing with their studies in the Gospel Project. This quarter’s study is The Church on Mission,
covering The Spirit Who Empowers (Acts) and The God Who Sends (Acts).

Our Students are also continuing with the Gospel Project. The Winter 2017-18 study focuses on the missionary journeys of Paul in Acts 13-
28. As we unpack how God used Paul to take the gospel to the nations, students will discover practical ways they might share the hope of the gospel in their homes, schools, and neighborhoods. They will witness Paul lean into God’s grace for strength to remain faithful to Christ in the midst of violent opposition. Acts calls us, as followers of Jesus, to live on mission where we’re at, love our neighbors, and spread Christ’s fame to the end of the earth no matter what obstacles stand in our way.

Our Pre-K class will be starting their young journey in the Gospel Project, as well. As with all the Gospel Project studies, they will learn about The Church on Mission.

Join us for a FRESH START!! Sunday mornings at 9:30!! See Ya’ll on Sunday.
