The team is busy making last minute preparations and God is busy being faithful to answer all our prayers and provide for all our needs! One of our largest needs was for overnight accommodations going to and from Kentucky… and wow! did He come through for us. On our way we will be staying at First Baptist Gadsden where we served on mission last year. The great news from there is they will just be finishing up a week of VBS on the Friday before we arrive! This is a church that had not had a VBS for several years before last year, so to hear they are doing VBS this year is a great encouragement to those of us who served last year…all our praises go to God for His provision for their VBS and our overnight stay. On mission in 2010 we served in Dixsonville, Arkansas at Dixsonville Baptist Church. This church was merged with another area church several years back. However, with just a phone call to their Association, the family of God was moved to provide for its own. On our way home we will be staying at Cross Bar C Cowboy Church in Benton, Arkansas. And the church is providing our dinner on this evening, WHAT A BLESSING! Again, all God’s provision!!!!!
NOW…Just a few reminders for the team:
Our next MT Team meeting is scheduled for Sunday, June 3 following morning service, lunch will be served; everyone going on the trip must be at this meeting. Everything traveling on the trailer to KY needs to be at the church on Wednesday, June 6. The Team will meet at the church at 4:30am on Saturday, June 9 and depart at 5am. For Saturday everyone needs to bring a sack lunch. If you have any questions please see Maudell.
Last but certainly not the least, we thank our church family for your prayers, continued support in this manner is greatly coveted in our final days of preparation. A couple of weeks ago a prayer guide was provided, as each of those listed are important we do ask for special emphasis on prayer for travel. The shear distance is a concern and on Sunday, June 10 we will need to arrive in Wheelwright somewhere between 3 and 4:00pm in the evening for orientation. Again we thank you, our church family for your prayers, and most of all we thank God for what He has done, and what He will do over the week we are in Wheelwright.
Below is a list of supplies needed to support the team and the mission in Wheelwright, please note the items needed for recreation are addition to the list that was supplied in the Sunday bulletin.
