Mary Hill Davis Offering

This month we will receive our annual missions offering for Texas missions. The offering impacts many diverse ministries affecting thousands of men, women, students, and children. During the month we will highlight some of the ministries so we can learn of the far-reaching benefits. Like most ministries many of these began when someone saw a situation through the eyes of Christ and was led to step out of the box and take action, obviously with the leading of the Holy Spirit. You are encouraged to pray and give to support the MHD Offering.

Since 1910 Texas Baptists have collected this offering for mission needs in Texas. In 1935 this offering was named for Mary Hill Davis, president of The Woman’s Missions Union of Texas and a tireless supporter of Texas missions. Her leadership in various positions spanned the years from 1898 until her death in 1934.

The week of prayer for Texas missions and the MHD offering is September 10-17. The state goal is $3.6 million. Let each of us do our part to support this important work. A reasonable goal for our church is $500.
