We all long for peace, security, and fulfillment. Trying to meet these needs in unhealthy ways is useless. God has a better plan. We can find our satisfaction in a relationship with Him, Jesus Christ. He is the great “I am”. Through Him we have everything we need. We live in a world where trouble surrounds us and if not careful, it can overwhelm us. Jesus tells us in John 14:1. “Do not let our hearts be troubled” Jesus understands our need for peace. The answer for a troubled heart is a trusting heart. We don’t have to be troubled by

constantly wondering if we are good enough, if we have enough, or if we have done enough. Our troubled hearts can be comforted by finding peace and purpose in trusting God. We look forward to seeing you Sunday mornings at 9:30am as we explore deeper into the book of John 14 &15. As young adults in the college and career world, we are often faced with many options and choices. Take time to study God’s word and be ready to make these decisions with God’s help! Sharnel

Women’s Ministry: Summer is in full swing and most of you are busily preparing for VBS. For the month of July our Women’s Ministry will be focusing on a Community Outreach project at Field Store Elementary. We are collecting items to be used for encouraging the teachers as they reassemble after summer break. These items will need to be collected by July 16. Some ideas include: dry erase markers, colored Sharpies, cool Post-it notes, colored pens, highlighters, pretty notepads, notecards, stickers, Washi tape. In other words, something fun for their classrooms. If you have any questions, please contact Kyra or Fonda. Hope your summer days are just what you dreamed of.

Mission Trip 2017

MISSION TRIP 2017 Many thanks to all of you for your prayers, casseroles, and all sorts of support for this year’s mission trip. It was one of the best ever. Scooter and Dino got the children’s attention for both Bible schools. Then our teachers and helpers showed them God’s love and taught the lessons. The personal attention given each child in the various classes was valuable and for me it was a joy to see all of our team pouring themselves into the children’s lives. This was God at work because you cannot train a heart. More than one parent had kind words for our teachers and team. Everything we did was a sacrifice of love for the children. Pastor John
