Prayer Requests

Posted on : 03-05-2018 | By : F@FS webmaster | In : Churchwide, Outreach

If you have a prayer request, you may submit your name and prayer request via this site (be only as specific as you want). Your particular need may be spiritual, health related, financial or for a family member or friend. We have a Prayer Chain, comprised of a group of Prayer Warriors, who pray individually as they are called, then call the next Prayer Warrior on the list and so on until the chain is complete. In a short time frame, you or your loved one has had a number of prayers said on your behalf. We would also appreciate your letting us know when our prayers have been answered. Praise prayers are an important part of our daily prayers.

This website sends all submitted prayer requests directly to the prayer chain coordinator.

Day of Fasting and Prayer – Saturday, October 13, 2018

Posted on : 31-08-2018 | By : wmb | In : Announcements & Ministry Opportunities, Churchwide, Events

In the book of Joel, Chapter 1, verse 14 we read the following;

“Consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord.’

Then in Chapter 2, verse 19, it says:

“Yes, the Lord will answer.”

God, in all His Sovereignty, has established that when we fast and pray He is committed to hear and to answer.

Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Our part is to pray, fast and seek His face. He will respond and when He does we may be blown away by the abundance of His blessings!

On Saturday, October 13, I am asking that all members join us for a day of prayer and fasting. I know you have many questions and I will be answering those in the days to come. Tentatively, we will meet in the sanctuary at 6:00AM on that Saturday morning. We will have about 30 minutes of worship before we return to our homes to fast and pray. Members will sign up for 30 minutes shifts to be in the sanctuary praying throughout the day. We will all return to the sanctuary at 5:30 PM for 30 minutes of worship to conclude our fast. Everyone will have a multipage prayer guide to direct us on how and what to pray for during the day. There will also be many scriptures to read and meditate on.

Will you commit to spend 12 hours with the Lord on October 13th. Most have never done this. He wants to hear from us as a church.

C.H. Spurgeon said, “Whenever God determines to do a great work, He first sets His people to pray!”

It has been a blessing this summer to see our students step up and serve. We just finished a week of VBS at the church and the students served in many areas. Shar-nel, who was leading our VBS this year, told me the students were a great blessing and she was so thankful for how hard they worked. So, to any students who are reading this, good job for the work you did. Now we are preparing to head off to Camp. We will be going to Pineywoods camp this year. We leave on July 23rd and will be getting back on July 27th. We have 18 students going this year and 3 leaders. Camp is a great opportunity for students to get away from the normal everyday routine of life and their cell phones, Netflix, and video games. It is a week that focuses on teaching them principles from the word of God. It also provides a safe place to have fun, experience new things, and build relationships with other young Christians. Please be in prayer for our students and leaders. I know that when you receive this letter we may be near the end of camp or even home from camp but please pray that when the students are home they will build on their camp experience. Pray they will have a desire to and drive to continue to grow in their relationship with God through time spent in God’s word and prayer. Thank you for your prayers and I can’t wait to see how God answers them.
