If you have a prayer request, you may submit your name and prayer request via this site (be only as specific as you want). Your particular need may be spiritual, health related, financial or for a family member or friend. We have a Prayer Chain, comprised of a group of Prayer Warriors, who pray individually as they are called, then call the next Prayer Warrior on the list and so on until the chain is complete. In a short time frame, you or your loved one has had a number of prayers said on your behalf. We would also appreciate your letting us know when our prayers have been answered. Praise prayers are an important part of our daily prayers.

This website sends all submitted prayer requests directly to the prayer chain coordinator.

Some thoughts on Prayer:

It’s remarkable that in all of his writings Paul’s prayers for his friends contain no appeals for changes in their circumstances. – Timothy Keller

If you have a concern in your heart and go before God on your knees, you will get more than can be taught in seminaries. – A.W. Tozer

Our prayers lay the track down on which God’s power can come. Like a mighty locomotive, His power is … but it cannot reach us without rails. – Watchman Nee

Prayer is not logical, it is a mysterious moral working of the Holy Spirit. – Oswald Chambers

In order to pray correctly, we must be able to listen to the other person. – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Intercessory prayer is the purifying bath into which the individual and the (church) community must enter every day. – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Men and brethren, if you pray at all, pray God to make you real, through and through. – Charles Spurgeon

Prayer is an art which only the Spirit can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. – Charles Spurgeon

We all long for peace, security, and fulfillment. Trying to meet these needs in unhealthy ways is useless. God has a better plan. We can find our satisfaction in a relationship with Him, Jesus Christ. He is the great “I am”. Through Him we have everything we need. We live in a world where trouble surrounds us and if not careful, it can overwhelm us. Jesus tells us in John 14:1. “Do not let our hearts be troubled” Jesus understands our need for peace. The answer for a troubled heart is a trusting heart. We don’t have to be troubled by

constantly wondering if we are good enough, if we have enough, or if we have done enough. Our troubled hearts can be comforted by finding peace and purpose in trusting God. We look forward to seeing you Sunday mornings at 9:30am as we explore deeper into the book of John 14 &15. As young adults in the college and career world, we are often faced with many options and choices. Take time to study God’s word and be ready to make these decisions with God’s help! Sharnel

This has been an exciting month for the student ministry watching God work in some awesome ways. We took a small group of students to Highland Lakes Camp and had a great time. At camp there were a lot of fun games and activities we got to do. However, the neatest thing was to see what God was teaching the students through this experience. Camp provides a great opportunity to get away from everyday distractions which helps you better focus on God and to listen to what He may want to tech you. Two of our students began their relationship with God while at camp and the other two, who already had a relationship, began to discover how to better grow in this relationship and how to use their gifts. After camp we had an exciting week of VBS where God also worked in the students in a variety of different ways. Several of the High school students used their gifts to serve at VBS. It was great from the standpoint of the student pastor to see students being excited about using the gifts God has given them to serve. Thank you all for your prayers and please begin to pray that the students will be able to take the things they learned this summer into their schools and that they will be bright beacons of God’s love.

BUILDING & GROUNDS On the morning of on Saturday the 15th we will be setting up the VBS tent at 8am. We need all hands-on deck and it should take less than two hours. Afterwards we’ll be having a general work day for whoever can stick around. We’ll be doing the “heavy lifting” for the VBS decorators, a few odds and ends to the facility and whatever else we can do to assist with the VBS preparation. Come serve the Lord with a little bit of sweat and watch how He pours out His blessings on this year’s VBS. See ya there!

p.s. We’ll be taking the tent down the following Saturday (7/22) morning at 8am.

This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

TRANSITIONS-COLLEGE AND CAREER God was calling His people to stop and consider the path their lives were taking. He was encouraging them to look around, to open their eyes, and see if they were walking in the “good way”, meaning His ways. Gods advice to His people in Jeremiah’s day is still good advice for us today. “Ask for the old (ancient) pathways. The “good way” is being willing and ready to do what God wants us to do, even when we do not know exactly what that is. Whenever we come to a crossroad in our life and we have to make decision, God tells us that the correct path is the one that always “walks in the way of the Lord”, to be obedient.

Which path will you take and who will you follow? Choose today to walk in the “good way”. Join us Sunday mornings at 9:30am to discuss more about Gods way for our lives. Sharnel

Things are busy as usual in the student ministry. In our Elements – The Building Blocks of Our Faith study series on Wednesday nights we wrapped up our lessons on God’s Judgment and will soon begin our lessons on God’s Love. We will be looking at how God’s love is at the very center of His identity, how Christ’s atoning death on the cross is the most complete expression of God’s love, and how we are called to be known by the love we shows to others. We also celebrated the graduations of two of our students. Please pray they will continue to seek God’s will for their lives. We just completed the 2017 mission trip. Seven of our students went on this trip and had opportunities to serve in a variety of different ways. They did a great job! One of the coolest things was that one of our students came to know Christ on this trip. Please remember to keep the students in your prayers over the summer. One thing you can specifically pray for is camp. We will be taking a group of four students to Highland Lakes Camp. Please pray God will use this trip in a mighty way.

Women’s Ministry: Summer is in full swing and most of you are busily preparing for VBS. For the month of July our Women’s Ministry will be focusing on a Community Outreach project at Field Store Elementary. We are collecting items to be used for encouraging the teachers as they reassemble after summer break. These items will need to be collected by July 16. Some ideas include: dry erase markers, colored Sharpies, cool Post-it notes, colored pens, highlighters, pretty notepads, notecards, stickers, Washi tape. In other words, something fun for their classrooms. If you have any questions, please contact Kyra or Fonda. Hope your summer days are just what you dreamed of.
