Jackson Huynh
Senior Pastor
My Salvation Story:
I grew up in a household with both Catholicism and Buddhism theology . Although I didn't know the One true God, I knew He existed. My life came into a cross roads at age 21 yrs, where I had to decide the projection of my life. Do I live for myself or for the One true God- Jesus Christ? After accepting Him, my life's focus changed entirely. I started to attend non denomination church (with Baptist Theology) where I was taught the Bible and how I ought to live for Him (discipleship). During that period of academic pursuit, I transferred to a Christian University where I was first introduced to Biblical Theology. Although I didn't pursue theology at that time, it remained in my mind and heart. After graduating from the University of South Florida with a Master's in Clinical Social Work (Counseling), I followed my passion to work in Health Care counseling pediatric patients with acute and chronic illnesses and their families. While at my first career job, I again started to pursue my career in ministry. I enrolled to Seminary and graduated with a Masters in Divinity (M.Div) at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary while starting a family, and maintaining a secular job in Health Care. During that time, I was always involved in ministry life as lay leader working with children, youth and college students. After much prayer, I am delighted to be called as the Pastor at Fellowship at Field Store in 2019.
Spouse: Joy Huynh
Children: Riley, Joel, Hannah and Catherine
Favorite Bible Verse: John 14:6- “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

My Salvation Story:
Growing up my family faithfully attended and served in church so I knew from a young age about God and His plan for our salvation. I cannot say for sure the exact moment when I truly understood this, but I can say with confidence that I have accepted that gift. As a young Christian, I really did not understand how important it was for me live out my faith. When I was 17 God started doing a major work in my life. Around this time, I was given the opportunity to work at a summer camp. Through this opportunity I was led to share the Gospel message with a young man. This was the first time I had ever done this and that child came to know Christ. God used this in a powerful way to transform my perspective on life. I now knew my purpose in life comes from being obedient to God and living out the life He intended me to live. I was able to see that, unless the goal of my life is to bring God the glory He is due, I will merely be “grasping for the wind”. From that time in my life until present I have been serving God through a verity of ministries that He has opened the door to. During this time I attended to The College of Biblical Studies where I received my B.S. in Biblical Counseling. My journey at the Fellowship at Field Store started in 2016 as the Pastor of Students. I am excitedly anticipating what He has next for me.
Favorite Bible Verse: Colossians 3:15-17- “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

My Salvation Story:
I was born in December 1950 in a small hospital in what was North Houston at the time but is now located inside Loop 610. I was the youngest of 4 children born to my parents – dad was a carpenter and mom was a stay-at-home mother of 4. I was born again when I made my profession of faith in June 1958 at age 7. It was Sunday morning after Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church Golden Acres, Texas. Our pastor was Joe Sturdivant was an awesome guy – not much taller than I was, but he was dynamite in a small package. He would come by the house and get me to go with him to visit families with kids. He always had a plan on how to best reach the people in our community and he was very good at involving everyone – even the kids – in ministry. He was a great role model and teacher.

My Salvation Story:
When my brother was 21 he was killed in an auto accident. December of that year I was in the car looking for a radio station with christmas music on it, and came across Dr Vernon McGee on KHCB, while I listened to that program I realized if I ever wanted to see my brother again the only way to do that would be to trust Jesus as my Savior. Now, while I never heard my brother profess Christ, I do know what kind of person he was, and in this I find assurance. Going forward I lived my life as I always had, nothing changed. About 11 years later we moved from Cypress to Field Store. Each day to and from work I would drive by a little church, and each day on my way home that little church would call my name. Soon afterwards I came to realize that calling was God saying to me that it was time for me to put my profession of faith in Jesus as my Savior into action. And I did, and from then on God has been so gracious, kind and merciful to me. One of His greatest blessings has been my Church family He has surrounded me with here at the Fellowship. We are not perfect by any means, but we are family. If you are looking for a church home I encourage you to come visit our family here at the Fellowship.
